Question: What gives you joy? Pain? Answer: My son fills my heart with joy. He's so cute, cuddly, and funny. He likes to play this game where he'll climb up part of the stairs, turn and look to see if I'm following, and when I move, race to the top. He just started to learn to climb down. I feel pain when I see those animal rescue commercials with Sarah Mcsomething singing in the background. Dogs especially are the best animals to keep around -- and to see them abused and lonely just breaks my heart. I wish I could have a dog paradise for them all to roam. Question: What or who inspired you to become a teacher? Answer: Up until I went to college, I wanted to be a lawyer. First it was corporate law, but then I realized I might have to fight for a cigarette company -- and no. I just couldn't do that. So when I went to college, I had a few friends ask for help with their essays. THEY COULDN'T PUT TOGETHER A COMPLETE THOUGHT! It was kind of frustrating. So I thought it might be a good idea to help students learn to write them at a younger age. I think I'm doing an "ok" job at it. | Celebration!I thought this was too cool: I like the quote "Some infinities are greater than other infinities" is inspirational. There is an infinity of numbers between 0 and 1, like 0.1, 0.01. But there's a greater number of infinities between 0 and 2. I like that. It's saying one great thing could be more important than another great thing. This one cracked me up! Note: I will not be in school one day in September. I have a dentist appointment. Talk about a wonderful analysis: I never liked Language Arts that much because my teacher never went my speed, so I struggled. |
